Chandigarh, May 4 -- In a massive offensive against the "drone-drugs-guns" nexus fueled by Pakistan-backed elements, the Punjab Police has frozen assets worth Rs 65 crore belonging to gangsters and drug smugglers.
This action is part of the state government's ongoing 'Gangstran Te Vaar' and 'Yudh Nashiyan Virudh' campaigns, aimed at dismantling the financial backbone of organised crime in the border district of Tarn Taran.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Tarn Taran, Surendra Lamba, stated that the hostile neighbour has been increasingly utilising sophisticated drone technology to smuggle narcotics and arms across the 102-km-long border.
