Chandigarh, Nov. 2 -- The Punjab Police today clarified that the state-wide checks of commercial vehicles on the intervening night of November 1 and 2 was carried out following specific intelligence inputs related to security threats.
According to a police spokesperson, the operation focused on vehicles transporting various goods and was conducted under the supervision of gazetted officers at select locations to ensure the process remained systematic and did not inconvenience the general public.
