Chandigarh, Oct. 6 -- The Counter Intelligence (CI) Amritsar of Punjab Police has busted a cross-border arms and narcotics smuggling module with links to Pakistan by arresting two of its operatives and recovered 2.5 kg heroin and five sophisticated pistols from their possession, the state's top cop said today.

Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav said here that those arrested have been identified as Gurjant Singh, a resident of village Dholan in Tarn Taran and Gurvel Singh, a resident of village Chhina Bidhi Chand in Tarn Taran.
