Shimla, June 15 -- Police in Himachal Pradesh's Nurpur district have arrested a Punjab resident and recovered 15.18 grams of heroin from his possession during a special operation against drug trafficking.
Nurpur Police district Superintendent of Police, Kulbhushan Verma said on Monday confirming the arrest that "a team of the CIA unit of Nurpur intercepted the suspect near the Nagni Mata Temple service road in the Kandwal area and conducted a search in accordance with legal procedures".
The accused was identified as Anil Sharma (48), a resident of Kali Ghanupur Shihrta in Amritsar district of Punjab.
