Chatra (Jharkhand), April 28 -- Four persons, including two from Punjab, were arrested with over one kg of opium in Chatra district, police said on Tuesday.
Acting on specific information, a team of Sadar police station led by SDPO Sandeep Suman seized 1.319 kg of opium during vehicle checking on Tikar road, police said.
Chatra superintendent of police Animesh Nathani said the accused were part of an inter-state network involved in trafficking narcotics from Jharkhand to Punjab.
The arrested persons were identified as Santosh Kumar Dangi and Rupesh Kumar Yadav, both residents of Chatra, and Harendra Singh and Davinderpal Singh, residents of Punjab.
