Chandigarh, Feb. 26 -- Governor of Punjab Gulab Chand Kataria has formally summoned the Twelfth (Budget) Session of the Sixteenth Punjab Vidhan Sabha, which will commence on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 11 am in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha Hall, Vidhan Bhavan, Chandigarh.
The Budget Session is scheduled to continue until March 16, during which the Governor will deliver the customary address to the House on the opening day, followed by obituary references and legislative business. The state Budget for the financial year 2026-27 will be presented by Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema on March 8.
