Chandigarh, Aug. 2 -- Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Sunday inaugurated two new Schools of Eminence in Ludhiana, saying the state was investing in public education to narrow the gap between government and private schools and create better opportunities for children from ordinary families.
The new campuses at Kidwai Nagar and Miller Ganj take Ludhiana's total to 16 Schools of Eminence, the highest in any district of Punjab. Mann said the expansion reflected the government's focus on improving school infrastructure rather than relying on short-term welfare measures.
