Chandigarh, April 25 -- Punjab Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak announced on Friday that the state is witnessing a highly efficient wheat procurement season, with the government ensuring that farmers receive payments within 24 hours of their produce being procured.

Speaking during his visit to the Jhabal grain market in the Tarn Taran district, the Minister highlighted that this marks the fourth consecutive procurement season where the administration, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has managed to synchronize the procurement process with simultaneous and timely payments to the farming community.
