Chandigarh, Aug. 21 -- Punjab Congress has started preparing its manifesto for the 2027 assembly elections, but this time the party says it wants the document to be shaped by people outside the organisation as much as by its own leaders.
The Congress manifesto committee, constituted by the All India Congress Committee, held its first meeting in Chandigarh on Friday. Committee chairman Amar Singh attended the meeting along with former minister Pargat Singh, Amritsar MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla and former minister Hardyal Singh Kamboj.
The committee discussed the process of preparing the manifesto and agreed to take the exercise beyond the party's organisational structure. Members will travel across Punjab to hear directly from different section...
