RaviNew Delhi, Jan. 22 -- The top leadership of the Congress on Thursday held a meeting with senior Punjab Congress leaders in New Delhi amid ongoing infighting and increasing factionalism within the state unit, warning that indiscipline would invite strict action.
The meeting took place at the residence of Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge at 10 Rajaji Marg and was attended by Congress general secretary (organisation) K C Venugopal and senior leader Rahul Gandhi.
The meeting lasted for three hours, during which state leaders were asked to discuss party matters on party forums and not with the media. Rahul Gandhi and party President will be visiting Punjab soon.
