Chandigarh, Feb. 6 -- Punjab Congress in-charge and former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel announced on Friday that Navjot Kaur Sidhu had been expelled from the Congress party, citing disciplinary grounds as the reason, and asserted that strict adherence to party line remains non-negotiable.
Speaking to reporters during a visit to the residence of senior party leader Dr Raj Kumar Verka in Amritsar, Baghel said the organisation places discipline above all else, and action is mandatory against leaders who deviate from official positions. He confirmed that the decision to remove Navjot Kaur Sidhu from the party has been taken as part of that principle.
