Chandigarh, Sept. 4 -- In a decisive move to bolster flood relief efforts, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has directed the deployment of approximately 1,700 gazetted officers to supervise rescue and relief operations in flood-affected villages across the state. This initiative aims to ensure seamless communication between the administration and residents of the 1,698 inundated villages in 23 districts, impacting over 3.80 lakh people.
