Chandigarh, Dec. 2 -- Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is in Japan on a ten-day official visit aimed at attracting fresh investments into the state. His schedule on Tuesday includes a series of high-level meetings with major Japanese industrial groups and investment agencies in Tokyo.

The day will begin with a tribute ceremony at the Mahatma Gandhi statue in Tokyo's Gandhi Park. Following this, the Chief Minister and his accompanying team of senior officials will move into back-to-back business engagements.

According to officials, Mann is scheduled to meet representatives of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) and other leading investment bodies to pitch Punjab as a competitive destination for industry. Discussions are ...
