Chandigarh, May 13 -- Security agencies in Punjab and Delhi have been placed on high alert following a series of alarming bomb threats targeting Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar.

The threats, delivered through an anonymous email sent to the state administration, warned of targeted assassinations and explosions at government and political offices.

The threatening communication labeled both the Chief Minister and the BJP chief as "enemies of the Sikhs" and explicitly stated that the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) would be targeted in a blast at 1:11 PM, drawing a chilling parallel to the assassination of former Punjab CM Beant Singh.
