Chandigarh, Feb. 27 -- Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Friday launched a scathing attack on the union government following a court's decision to discharge AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and senior leader Manish Sisodia in the excise policy case.

Addressing the media in a video message, Mann stated that the verdict has vindicated the party's long-standing position that central agencies, including the CBI, have been weaponized as "puppets" to target political opponents. He described the legal outcome as a "historic day" for Indian politics, where the "triumph of light" finally ended a long "night" of alleged political persecution.
