Chandigarh, Sept. 1 -- Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann today announced a comprehensive relief and preventive healthcare strategy to address the crisis in flood-hit villages.
Medical and veterinary teams are being deployed across all villages to provide preventive care and curb the spread of diseases, the chief minister said.
According to Mann, water sampling, indoor and outdoor spraying, water chlorination, fever surveys, and rapid tests for early detection of malaria and dengue are being done.
Besides, Distribution of sanitary napkins and mosquito nets is also planned. The Water Supply and Sanitation Department is deploying water tankers to ensure access to clean drinking water until regular water supply systems are restored. ...
