Chandigarh, May 16 -- Punjab Chief MinisterBhagwant Mann on Friday took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over appeals related to cutting foreign expenditure, questioning why similar restrictions should not apply to the Centre as well.

Addressing a gathering, Mann alleged that the Prime Minister was "asking people to stop everything" while attempting to divert attention from pressing economic concerns. Referring to calls discouraging foreign travel and promoting work-from-home practices, the Punjab Chief Minister sarcastically remarked that even the Prime Minister could operate from home if such measures were genuinely necessary.
