Chandigarh, Feb. 9 -- Senior Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia on Monday launched a scathing attack on the Punjab government, asserting that the people of the state will never tolerate attempts to suppress or govern them via "remote control" from Delhi, and that Punjab's destiny would be decided solely by its citizens and youth.

Speaking after offering prayers at Sri Harmandir Sahib, Majithia expressed grave concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.

He said that as a sensitive border state, Punjab cannot afford the current administrative instability.
