Chandigarh, July 18 -- The Punjab wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday completely reshuffled its district leadership, bringing in a fresh lineup of presidents to jumpstart its grassroots campaign ahead of the upcoming state Assembly elections.
Approved by the party's national president Nitin Nabin, state unit chief Kewal Singh Dhillon announced the changes as part of a tactical push to clean and tone up the party's local machinery. Insiders say the move is meant to shake up the ranks right from the booth level up and fix the party's public outreach across Punjab.
