Chandigarh, Aug. 28 -- The Punjab BJP has opened disciplinary proceedings against three senior leaders who publicly questioned recent organisational changes in the state unit, serving them show-cause notices and giving them seven days to explain their conduct.

The action targets former Sangrur district BJP presidents Randeep Singh Deol and Maninder Singh Kapial, along with former state cell coordinator Jatinder Kalra.

The three had held a press conference in Sangrur on August. 25, where they raised concerns over changes made in the Punjab BJP organisation. Their group has also announced a "Punjab BJP Bachao Yatra" for August 29 to press its concerns before the party's senior leadership.
