Chandigarh, July 11 -- During the 9th session of the 16th Punjab Vidhan Sabha, members present in the House on Friday unanimously passed five significant bills.
Disclosing this information, a spokesperson for the Punjab government said that Higher Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains introduced Rayat Bahra Professional University, Hoshiarpur Bill, 2025 and CGC University, Mohali Bill, 2025, both of which were unanimously passed by the House.
According to the spokesperson, Industry Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond introduced the Punjab Shops and Commercial Establishments (Amendment) Bill, 2025 and the Punjab Labour Welfare Fund (Amendment) Bill, 2025, which were also unanimously passed by the Assembly.
