Sangrur, June 3 -- A shocking murder case has come to light in Dirba area of Punjab's Sangrur district, where a teenager was allegedly killed and his body was thrown into a canal.
According to police, the victim, identified as Jagatpreet Singh, was taken from his home by friends on the pretext of some urgent work and was later murdered.
After the teenager went missing, police launched an investigation and traced the movements of the suspects. During questioning, the accused allegedly confessed to their involvement in the crime, leading to the recovery of the body from a canal.
Police have arrested three accused -- Gursharan Singh, Rajbir Singh and Khushpreet Singh -- in connection with the case and registered a murder case.
