Chandigarh, April 14 -- In a significant operation aimed at bolstering state security, the Amritsar Commissionerate Police has dismantled an illegal cross-border arms smuggling network.

Following the directives of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eliminate organized crime, the police apprehended three suspects and seized six sophisticated pistols.

Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab, Gaurav Yadav, confirmed today that the module was involved in retrieving weapon consignments dropped via drones from across the border.
