Chandigarh, July 19 -- An active southwest monsoon spell is set to bring widespread rainfall across Haryana over the coming days, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting a significant increase in rainfall activity from July 20 to 23.

The wet spell is also expected to bring down daytime temperatures across the state by 3degC to 5degC over the next 24 hours.

According to the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), New Delhi, rain and thundershowers were recorded at isolated places in Haryana during the past 24 hours ending at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the weather remained dry over neighbouring Delhi.
