Pune, July 21 -- A 21-year-old college student from Pune has alleged that she was sexually assaulted repeatedly for over a year by four men, who allegedly exploited their friendship with her through Instagram.
The incident has caused shock in the city.
According to police, the victim, a first-year Bachelor of Arts (BA) student, was allegedly taken to different locations by the accused and sexually assaulted on multiple occasions.
The accused also allegedly recorded videos of the acts and threatened to make the videos public to silence her.
The victim, who was residing in the Viman Nagar area, had joined a reputed college in Pune in 2025.
During this period, she reportedly became acquainted with one of the accused through Instagram.
