Pune, June 25 -- To create awareness among sports enthusiasts and encourage greater participation in emerging sporting disciplines, a special awareness program was recently organized by the Pune Municipal Corporation and the Olympic Committee at Sir Parashurambhau College here on the occasion of World Olympic Day.
The event featured demonstrations of sports that have recently gained recognition in the Olympic movement.
Among the highlights of the program was a kickboxing demonstration by young athletes Aradhya Mohan Gavde and Anvi Amit Baile. Both athletes train in kickboxing at Aryan Sports Club under the guidance of coach Deepak Anandkar.
