Pune, April 11 -- Maharashtra's Food and Civil Supplies Minister, Chhagan Bhujbal, had a narrow escape today following a major lapse during his helicopter landing.

Due to a pilot error in Khanvadi, Purandar, the Minister's helicopter landed in a car parking lot instead of the designated helipad.

Minister Bhujbal was arriving for an event organized to mark the birth anniversary of Mahatma Phule. Despite the administration setting up a separate, authorized helipad, the pilot mistakenly identified a nearby open space (the parking zone) as the landing spot.

The unexpected landing caused a wave of panic among the citizens gathered at the site.
