Srinagar, Aug. 27 -- A proposed 50-acre Plug-and-Play Industrial Park at Nowgam on Srinagar's outskirts has come under scrutiny over concerns that the project could affect the city's natural flood-management system.

The Peoples' Environmental Council (PEC), in association with the Nigeen Lake Conservation Organisation (NLCO), has submitted a memorandum to M.Y. Tarigami, Chairman of the J&K Legislative Assembly's Committee on Environment, seeking a multidisciplinary review before the site for the proposed project is finalised, officials said.
