Agartala, April 24 -- A concerning case of suspected cross-border smuggling linked to items acquired through Flipkart has been reported in Bishalgarh of Tripura's Sepahijala district, raising alarms about the potential exploitation of e-commerce supply chains.
Based on such reports, an investigation has been launched into the allegations, police said.
Multiple complaints have surfaced alleging that certain local officials and individuals connected to Flipkart's operations in Bishalgarh are implicated in obtaining products like soaps and shampoos at discounted rates via the platform and illicitly transporting them to Bangladesh, where they reportedly fetch much higher prices.
