New Delhi, April 13 -- Delhi Police has arrested a 42-year-old proclaimed offender and a history-sheeter, Vikas Dahiya, from Chandigarh, an officer said on Monday.

Dahiya, a native of Kharkhoda in Haryana's Sonipat district, had been absconding since July 2025 in connection with a sensational murder case, police said.

He was wanted in a case that was registered at Baba Haridas Nagar police station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Arms Act.

"Dahiya was declared a proclaimed offender by a Dwarka court in October 2025 after evading arrest for months," said Pankaj Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime).
