Kalaburagi, March 14 -- Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge on Saturday launched a sharp attack on the Centre over its handling of foreign policy and energy security, questioning the delay in Prime Minister Narendra Modi speaking with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian amid the ongoing tensions in West Asia.

Speaking to reporters here, Kharge asked why the Prime Minister took so long to speak to the Iranian President and criticised what he described as a lack of clarity in India's diplomatic position. "What took him so long? What is the foreign policy here? Are you friends with Iran or not friends with Iran?" he asked.
