Bengaluru, Feb. 17 -- Private sector companies now contribute nearly one-fourth of India's total defence production, signalling a decisive shift from the country's historically public sector-dominated military manufacturing model, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said on Tuesday.
Addressing at the inauguration of Airbus-Tata H125 Helicopter Assembly Line in the presence of a French delegation, Singh said India's defence industrial ecosystem has undergone structural transformation over the past decade as a result of sustained policy reforms and greater industry participation.
