Shimla, May 25 -- As many as 441 Gram Panchayats in Shimla district are set to go to polls in the three-phase Panchayati Raj elections beginning May 26Meanwhile, 42 Gram Panchayats in the district have already been declared elected unopposed ahead of the polling process.
According to official data, elections in the district would be conducted in three phases, beginning May 26, May 28 and May 30 across 14 development blocks.
A total of 150 Gram Panchayats would go to polls in the first phase on May 26, another 150 in the second phase on May 28, while polling would be held in 141 Gram Panchayats in the final phase on May 30.
