Dumka, Feb. 22 -- All administrative preparations have been completed in Dumka district of Jharkhand to ensure free, fair and fear-free municipal elections on Monday, with polling personnel deployed at all designated polling stations and elaborate security arrangements put in place.

Polling for Dumka Municipal Council and Basukinath Nagar Panchayat will be held on Monday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

According to administrative sources, a total of 40,739 voters in the Dumka Municipal Council area will exercise their franchise across 42 polling stations, including 20,738 male and 20,001 female voters.

In the Basukinath Nagar Panchayat area, there are 14,254 voters, comprising 7,127 male and 7,127 female electors.
