Bengaluru, March 11 -- Droupadi Murmu will commemorate the milestone of five billion cumulative meals served to school children by the Akshaya Patra Foundation at a special event in New Delhi on March 17.
The programme, marking the foundation's 25 years of service, will be held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre and will highlight the organisation's contribution to addressing classroom hunger through the Government of India's flagship PM POSHAN initiative.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will attend the event as the Guest of Honour.
