New Delhi, Nov. 9 -- President Droupadi Murmu has commenced her state visit to Angola, receiving a ceremonial welcome and Guard of Honour at the Presidential Palace in Luanda on Sunday, the foreign ministry announced.

Angolan President Joao Manuel Goncalves Lourenco warmly received her, a gesture that underscores the strong ties between India and Angola. This marks the first-ever state visit by an Indian Head of State to Angola, signifying a major milestone in diplomatic relations.
