New Delhi, Aug. 23 -- In an effort to preserve social unity, brotherhood and cultural traditions across rural Delhi, a joint panchayat of Bawana 52 and Palam stressed upon the need to connect with the youth, discuss social values and traditions, and reinforce respect for parents and elders as an important part of cultural roots.
The highlight of the panchayat was the 'Jeevan Yagya' conducted by Ghoga village resident Deepak in honour of his parents. His dedication was appreciated by the elders present on the occasion, who said that at a time when some children appear to be drifting away from their parents and elders, Deepak's devotion serves as an example for society.
