Preparations underway for exposition of Buddha relics at Tawang

Itanagar, Oct. 1 -- Preparations are underway for the exposition of the sacred relics of Shakyamuni Buddha at Tawang from November 1 to 7.

The event is being organised by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, in collaboration with the Government of Arunachal Pradesh, International Buddhist Confederation (IBC) and National Museum, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Lhabab Duechen (Abhidharma Divas).

As part of the preparations, an Advance Security Liaison (ASL) team led by IBC Director Colonel (Retd) Yash Saxena, along with officials from the National Museum, arrived in Tawang on Thursday.
