Patna, Aug. 3 -- Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor continued to maintain a comfortable lead over BJP candidate Neeraj Kumar Sinha in the high-profile Bankipur Assembly by-election after the eighth round of counting on Mkonday.

According to the latest trends shared by the Election Commission office, Prashant Kishor has secured 15,637 votes, while BJP's Neeraj Kumar Sinha has polled 11,081 votes, giving the Jan Suraaj leader a lead of 4,556 votes after seven rounds of counting.
