Patna, July 8 -- The Bihar bypoll for Bankipur assembly seat is heating up as Prashant Kishor, founder of Jan Suraaj, hit the streets on foot to campaign in the constituency on Wednesday.

With the BJP fielding Abhishek Kumar Sinha as its candidate, the contest has turned out to be challenging for the contenders.

Kishor conducted a padyatra through wards 35 and 29 of Bankipur, starting at the Chiraiyatand Durga temple in the morning and passing through JJ Market, Lal Market, Prince Market, Anand Public School, Maruti Nagar, Khas Mahal turning, Ram Nagar, Postal Park crossing, Chandmari Road, and Tarakeshwar Path before reaching near HDFC Bank.
