Tirumala, Jan. 4 -- The annual Pranaya Kalahotsavam was celebrated in a grand and traditional manner here on Sunday evening as part of the Vaikuntha Ekadasi festivities.

Pranaya Kalahotsavam is observed every year on the sixth day of Vaikuntha Ekadasi and the 17th day of the Adhyayanotsavam, in accordance with temple traditions.

As part of the celebrations, Sri Malayappa Swamy, mounted on a palanquin, proceeded along the Maha Pradakshina Path at around 4 p.m. towards the Swami Pushkarini. Simultaneously, His consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi arrived on separate palanquins from the opposite direction and stood facing the Lord.
