Hyderabad, Oct. 28 -- Former Communist Party of India (Marxist) general secretary Prakash Karat today called upon party cadres to intensify the political and ideological fight against the RSS and BJP, asserting that the Left will work to unite all secular and democratic forces across the country.
Addressing the closing session of the CPI(M)'s all-India political training classes at the Sundarayya Vignana Kendram here, Karat alleged that the Election Commission (EC) was taking decisions with political motives.
He criticised the EC's move to implement the Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls (SIR) in 12 states, stating that the Supreme Court had only issued interim orders and had not delivered a final verdict on the issue.
