Nagoya, Sept. 26 -- Prachi Choudhary turned a qualifying berth into a maiden individual Asian Games medal, powering to bronze in the women's 400m final here on Saturday in a breakthrough performance for the Indian quarter-miler.
Prachi clocked 53.21 seconds to finish third, behind Bahrain's Salwa Naser, who won gold in 49.20 seconds, and Iran's Zahra Zarei Manoujan, who took silver in 52.38.
The bronze was Prachi's first individual Asian Games medal, adding a significant milestone to a career in which she has also featured prominently in India's relay teams.
