New Delhi, June 12 -- The Bharatiya Postal Employees Federation has announced a nationwide agitation programme over a range of employee-related issues and concerns regarding recent policy decisions within the postal department.

The announcement was made during a press conference held at the Press Club of India in New Delhi on Thursday.

Among its key demands, the Federation has sought a review of work-related targets, reconsideration of restructuring plans in the Railway Mail Service, filling of vacant posts, protection of positions in the Mail Motor Service and Civil Wing, consultation before cadre mergers, resolution of pay anomalies affecting ex-servicemen employees and faster processing of compassionate appointments.
