Bhubaneswar, June 24 -- The Odisha State Disaster Management Authority (OSDMA) has directed all district administrations to carry out an immediate fire safety audit of schools, colleges, coaching centres, skill development institutes and hostels across the State in the wake of the recent fire tragedy in Lucknow.

The OSDMA stressed the need for strict enforcement of fire safety norms to safeguard students, teachers, trainees and staff, in a directive issued to District Collectors and District Disaster Management Authorities (DDMAs), Special Relief Commissioner.
