Hyderabad, April 14 -- Telangana Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Tuesday appealed to RTC employees to withdraw their proposed strike, assuring that the government is ready to resolve their issues through dialogue in the interest of public welfare.

He clarified that matters related to RTC merger and trade unions fall under the government's purview, while all other employee concerns can be discussed openly. "Our doors are always open for employees to present their grievances," he said.

The Minister noted that a 2.1 per cent Dearness Allowance has already been implemented and there are no pending arrears. He added that the Pay Revision Commission (PRC) demands of RTC employees are under active consideration.
