Puducherry, March 25 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) today said a 410 of the total 514 nominations filed by the candidates of various political parties and Independents were found in order and accepted on scrutiny on Tuesday.
After the day long process, all the nominations were thorough scrutinised. While 410 were found in order and accepted, the papers of 104 candidates were rejected.
Tomorrow is the last date for withdrawals after which a final picture on the total number of candidates in the fray for the 30 Assembly seats, would be known.
