Chennai, June 24 -- Left without allies and politically isolated following the electoral defeat, the opposition DMK, staring at a bleak future, on Wednesday turned its wrath against its former ally, the CPI(M), for deserting the alliance and teaming up with the ruling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) of Chief Minister Joseph Vijay.

Continuing its tirade against the CPI(M), the DMK's party organ, 'Murasoli', today singled out the Marxist party's state secretary P.Shanmugam, questioning his justifications for extending support to the TVK government.
