Patna, Feb. 28 -- Strongly opposing the review of religious conversions and the proposal to frame a new law, the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Legislature Party leader in the Bihar Assembly, Akhtarul Iman today said that political interference in religious matters is not appropriate.

Iman told UNI that ancient religious scholars had already laid down rules and laws governing their respective religions, and therefore there was no need for political intervention. He added that decisions related to religion should be taken by religious leaders rather than politicians.
