Lucknow, Sept. 16 -- Following union Home Minister Amit Shah's statement that the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) will be implemented in all 21 BJP-led NDA states before the 2029 Lok Sabha elections, political rhetoric on the issue has intensified in Uttar Pradesh.
Former BJP MLA Sangeet Som launched a scathing attack on those opposing the UCC, asserting that the UCC will be implemented despite opposition.
Amit Shah had stated in Mumbai on September 13 that the UCC would be implemented in all 21 BJP-NDA-ruled states before 2029.
